Thomas Hagan, assassin of Malcolm X, granted parole from weekends in prison

One of three men convicted of killing Malcolm X 45 years ago was granted release from weekends in prison in his 17th appearance before a state parole board. Thomas Hagan, 69, appeared before a parole panel March 3 and was granted release effective April 28, state Division of Parole spokeswoman Carole Weaver said Friday.

“A UC San Diego student admitted Friday to hanging a rope noose from a campus library bookcase in an act that triggered more protests at a school already roiled by other recent racially charged incidents.”

38"But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, 'This is the heir. Come, let's kill him and take his inheritance.' 39So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.

40"Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?"

41"He will bring those wretches to a wretched end," they replied, "and he will rent the vineyard to other tenants, who will give him his share of the crop at harvest time."

42Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures:

" 'The stone the builders rejected

has become the capstone;

the Lord has done this,

and it is marvelous in our eyes'?

43"Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. 44He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed."

45When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard Jesus' parables, they knew he was talking about them. 46They looked for a way to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowd because the people held that he was a prophet.

It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9He who has ears, let him hear." 
10The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?"
11He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 13This is why I speak to them in parables:
"Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. 14In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: " 'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. 15For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.'[a] 16But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it. 18"Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away. 22The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. 23But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."

Major Benefits:


1. Men would have near full employment.

2. The work pool will become more scarce and valuable, so wages will rise.

3. Women will be able to manage their households and control their budgets. Less fast food, less high fashion clothing, less excess, less less, less...

4. A more valuable worker will not be as easy to pressure to work 60 or more hours a week. Families will have more time together. The children will get more care and attention.

5. A smaller work force will give women that are still in the workforce a stronger opportunity to negotiate equal pay for the equal work.

6. College graduates will have jobs. College graduates will not have to work at fast food joints.

7. Internships would increase allowing college graduates to enter the work place with more experience.

If men don’t work, they are pretty useless. People, you can live on one income. In this economy the two job household is just greedy and selfish. Down with DINKS (dual income, no kids). Pat Buchanan's was right on this point when he wrote the book "The Death of the West."

Is the Vision of Daniel the second Gulf War?

Many interpretations have been made of Daniel's vision in chapter 8 of the book of Daniel. I do not think that the interpreters ever imagined that an army could attack "without touching the ground".

Daniel 8:1-7-NIV
1. In the third year of King Belshazzar's reign, I, Daniel, had a vision, after the one that had already appeared to me.
2. In my vision I saw myself in the citadel of Susa in the province of Elam; in the vision I was beside the Ulai Canal. See Map

3. I looked up, and there before me was a ram with two horns, standing beside the canal, and the horns were long. One of the horns was longer than the other but grew up later.
Gabriel explains in Daniel 8:20: ” The two-horned ram that you saw represents the kings of Media and Persia.”
The Ram was Sadam Hussein-Media(Kurds)/Persian King. The two Horns are his sons Udday and Qusay Hussein. I watched the ram as he charged toward the west and the north and the south. West: Israel, North: Kurds, South: Kuwait.
No animal could stand against him, and none could rescue from his power. He did as he pleased and became great.
5. As I was thinking about this, suddenly a goat with a prominent horn between his eyes came from the west, crossing the whole earth without touching the ground.
Gabriel explains in Daniel 8:21: “The shaggy goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn between his eyes is the first king.”
Because the goat came from the west across the whole earth with out touching the ground, the goat represents the USA. The USA attacked Iraq without touching the ground. The surrounding countries from the north clockwise are Turkey (the would not allow the USA to set up a base in their country.); Iran (enemy of the USA); Kuwait (although liberated by the USA in the first Gulf War, Kuwait refused to allow the USA to have a base in their country.); Saudi Arabia (Allowed the USA to use its airbases in the first Gulf War, but refused access to the USA; Jordan (Refused to cooperate with the USA). The USA attacked by air and by the Persian Gulf.
6. He came toward the two-horned ram I had seen standing beside the canal and charged at him in great rage.
7. I saw him attack the ram furiously, striking the ram and shattering his two horns. The ram was powerless to stand against him; the goat knocked him to the ground and trampled on him, and none could rescue the ram from his power.
Russia, Syria, France, Germany, Iraq, and others protested this war. The USA attacked with the Coalition of the Willing. With the exception of England most of this coalition was powerless. So, the USA truly acted unilaterally. The rest of this prophecy appears to be in the near future, I will not speculate because there is no way to determine the exact nature of these events.

Republicans, remember your roots. Abandon your right wing racist, join with the American people, and rise to the highest ideals of your Party. Let's heal this nation.

The Republican Party was born in the early 1850's by anti-slavery activists and individuals who believed that government should grant western lands to settlers free of charge. The first informal meeting of the party took place in Ripon, Wisconsin, a small town northwest of Milwaukee. The first official Republican meeting took place on July 6th, 1854 in Jackson, Michigan. The name "Republican" was chosen because it alluded to equality and reminded individuals of Thomas Jefferson's Democratic-Republican Party. At the Jackson convention, the new party adopted a platform and nominated candidates for office in Michigan.

The Civil War erupted in 1861 and lasted four grueling years. During the war, against the advice of his cabinet, Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation that freed the slaves. The Republicans of the day worked to pass the Thirteenth Amendment, which outlawed slavery, the Fourteenth, which guaranteed equal protection under the laws, and the Fifteenth, which helped secure voting rights for African-Americans.
How did the Party go from Lincoln to Limbaugh? From light to darkness? From leadership to talk?

It’s time that the Republicans do the work laid out by their first great leader.

Cash for Clunkers Program. No Benefit to Bailed Out Chrysler and GM.

The government has provided 1 billion dollars for this program. On Friday the House hastily moved to add $2 billion to the program by using money intended for energy loan guarantees. It's a shame that we could not find a way to benefit Chrysler and GM since we have invested so much into their survival. By the way, only 1 of these 5 top sellers was an American brand.

Ugly Donuts

Now that we own a major part of Chrysler and GM it is time for us to make some demands. Forget about fuel efficiency or EPA standards. I am interested in a full sized spare tire. They replaced the full sized spare tire with the donut tire. The donut tire is not meant to be driven long distances and most of them have a maximum speed of 50 mph. Useless. We old guys remember a day when your spare tire matched the tires and wheels that came with the car exactly. When you had a flat, you changed the tire and your car did not look like a misfit until you got your flat fixed. You just left on the spare and repaired the flat tire at your convenience. Let’s demand the return of the full sized spare tire.

Eight Beatitudes:

President Barack Obama hoisted a beer with a white policeman and Harvard University professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr yesterday evening to attempt to calm a dispute between them that had ignited a national debate. Nothing was resolved, but the President got a decent photo op. So I guess the message is that we will never fully bridge the racial divide in this country, so DRINK UP!

The Sopranos Are Real?

Being a Kansas City boy when I watched the Sopranos I thought it was pure fantasy. The took a few scenes from some old Scorsese films and took every newspaper story about organized crime and combined them into an over-blown look at organized crime in America. Well the Sopranos live. The mayors of Hoboken, Secaucus and Ridgefield, the Jersey City deputy mayor and council president, two state assemblymen, numerous other public officials and political figures and five rabbis from New York and New Jersey were among 44 individuals charged today in a two-track federal investigation of public corruption and a high-volume, international money laundering conspiracy. I guess Kansas City's organized crime and public corruption seems rather tame.
